In January 2018, I came across photos of Lori Harvey’s birthday trip to the Bahamas, women on the beach, laughing in matching sun hats. That image of friendship, fun, and shared adventure sparked something in me.

I posted a simple question on Twitter
To my surprise, 16 women from across South Africa: Johannesburg, Cape Town, East London, and Durban - said yes to traveling with people they’d never met. That weekend became the first Chica Travel group trip, and the start of something far bigger than I ever imagined.

I created these trips because I get it - you want to travel, but your friends have different schedules, budgets, or priorities. Between work, family, and life’s demands, planning a trip together can feel impossible.
